About Us
Genesis Physical Therapy and Wellness is a family owned and operated facility that began as a physical therapy clinic and has grown into so much more! In addition to physical therapy, Genesis also focuses on overall health and wellness by now offering spa services including massage therapy, esthetician services, and spa packages! Genesis is continuing to expand into sports performance and adult fitness, as well, with the addition of our new gym and turf field! We are also advancing in the field of recovery with the addition of our Recovery Zone complete with Normatec compression systems, ice baths, hot tub, Hypervolts, and so much more! Here at Genesis, our goal is to help our patients with their overall health and wellness in order for them to get the most out of their lives. At Genesis, you are more than just a number, we want you to become part of the Genesis family!
Our Story
Genesis Physical Therapy has been servicing the Thibodaux community since May 2019. We strive to create a patient-centered environment and continue to advance with the latest techniques and technology to best serve our patients. We continue to add new services that we feel are needed in this community to optimize health and wellness. We have been blessed with the best support system of families, friends, patients, and physicians, and we would not be where we are today without them!

Kimberly Robichaux, PT, DPT, CSCS, CRGA, Cert-CMFA
Physical Therapist / Owner
​ Kim was born and raised in Thibodaux by Gibbs and Janet Robichaux. She is married to Jay Robichaux and loves spending time as a family with Dylan and Ryan. Kim is a graduate of E. D. White Catholic High School where she enjoyed playing soccer and softball. She received a Bachelor of Science in Biology: Pre-Physical Therapy from Nicholls State University where she also received the award for "Outstanding Achievement in Pre-Physical Therapy." Kim then went on to receive her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from LSU Health Sciences Center - Shreveport in 2015 where she also received the "Chancellor's Award" for outstanding Allied Health student in scholarship and research. Kim has known that she wanted to be a physical therapist since she was in physical therapy herself at 16. Her passion for helping people in her community has only grown over the years, and she strives to provide the people of her hometown with high quality care that they can count on to get them back to fully enjoying their lives. Kim learned to love and embrace Thibodaux and all its people from her grandfather, Gibbens Robichaux, and she hopes to give back to this special community in a way that will make him proud.
Kim has received several additional certifications:

CSCS: She is now a certified strength and conditioning specialist through the NSCA (National Strength and Conditioning Association) which has enabled her to efficiently program high school and youth workout programs to improve strength, flexibility, and overall performance in sports. We offer Sports Performance Camps at various times throughout the year.

CRGA: Kim is a Certified Running Gait Analyst. We have the only 3D Trace Running Analysis Machine in the state. Kim is able to assess an athlete's running mechanics through the 3D Analysis and correct mechanical flaws, as well as address necessary strengthening and flexibility training as needed per patient. More information can be found under the "3D Running Analysis" tab of our website.

Cert-CMFA: Kim has completed training to become Certified in the Clinical Management of Fitness Athletes. Her training is geared towards assessing mechanics of lifts, such as squat, deadlift, power clean, bench press, clean and jerk, pull-ups, among others, with slow motion analysis in order to improve mechanics, improve efficiency, and decrease risk for injury. Her training has also enabled her to provide accessory programming to address muscle imbalances and/or mechanical problems, as well as modifying programming to assist patients in returning from injury to weight lifting as soon as possible.

Certified Dry Needling Provider: Kim is a certified dry needling provider. Our dry needling section of the website under the "Treatment Options" tab holds additional information regarding dry needling and the excellent benefits. She has used this technique to help an abundance of patients decrease pain and improve their overall function.

LSVT BIG: Kim has completed the LSVT Big certification for the treatment of patients diagnosed with Parkinson's disease. She has also teamed up with "Speech and Feeding Therapy" who provides SPEAK OUT treatment for patients with Parkinson's disease. Both programs have been heavily researched to show excellent results in this population, and the combination of speech and physical therapy has proven to be even more beneficial.
Jay Robichaux
Practice Administrator
Jay was born and raised in Houma and is a graduate of Vandebilt Catholic High School. He has a background in management, medicine, service, and sales. He received his Bachelor's degree from Nicholls State University and his post graduate doctoral degree from LSU Shreveport. The most important thing in life to him is family. He is the proud father of 2 boys, Dylan and Ryan, and the husband of Kimberly Robichaux.
Stephanie Usey
Physical Therapist Assistant
Stephanie was born and raised in Thibodaux and graduated from Thibodaux High School. She received a Bachelors Degree in Psychology from the University of Louisiana at Monroe then continued onto PTA school to receive an Associates Degree from Northeast Texas Community College. Steph currently resides in Thibodaux and is married to Brandon Usey. They have 2 children, Vivian, 8 years old & Harrison, 5 years old. They currently attend BCA. Steph enjoys running, learning more about health and wellness, attending her children's activites, and reading. Stephanie has 13 years of experience and looks forward to serving the community.
Brandy Carlos
Front Office Staff
Brandy was born in Houma, LA and graduated from Thibodaux High School. She received her Associates Degree in Office Systems Technology from Fletcher Technical Community College. She now resides in Thibodaux, LA where she married Jay and had 4 beautiful children: Trace, Mallory, Ty, and Tucker. She served the community of Thibodaux at her alma mater, THS, for 8 years and 6 of those years being their front desk receptionist first point of contact. Brandy is passionate about God, family, friends, reading, and watching her youngest Tucker play baseball. Most importantly, Brandy loves being a grandmother (MiMi) to her 2 grandchildren Mateo and Briggs.
Bree Aguillard
Fitness Instructor
Bree was born and raised in Houma. She graduated from Terrebonne High School and was a part of the Nicholls softball team for all four of her years at the university. Bree graduated from Nicholls with a Bachelor’s Degree in Science of Health and Wellness. She is a certified personal trainer and leads fitness classes for all ages - from young athletes to older adults. She joined the Genesis family in May 2022.
Morgan Boudreaux
Licensed Esthetician
Morgan was born and raised in Thibodaux, LA. She attended Omega Institute Of Cosmetology in Houma, LA and has been an esthetician since March of 2017. Morgan has a passion for skincare, enhancing her clients natural beauty, and getting to know her clients. She is planning to continue to further her education in skin care and new technology as it is ever changing. She will work with each client by customizing each facial to meet her clients' needs.
Michelle Hodges, LMT
Massage Therapist
Michelle joined the Genesis team in May 2023. She was born and raised in Baton Rouge, graduated from Louisiana Institute of Massage Therapy in Lake Charles and resides in Thibodaux! She is professionally licensed in the State of Louisiana and plans to further her education and services.
Matt Broussard
Physical Therapy Technician
Matt joined the Genesis team in August 2021. He is originally from Berwick, Louisiana and graduated with a 4.0 GPA at Berwick High School. He played football, baseball, and basketball in high school and is currently a freshman at Nicholls State University where he is studying Allied Heath with a concentration in Pre-Physical Therapy. We wish him luck on his future endeavors and look forward to watching his growth in the years to come!
Bella Gilfour
Physical Therapy Technician
Bella is a Physical Therapy Technician and joined the team in the beginning on June 2022. Bella was born and raised in Thibodaux, LA and graduated from Thibodaux High school. She is currently at Nicholls State University studying to receive her Bachelors of Science degree in the hopes of becoming a Physical Therapist. Bella is part of the Allied Health club and The Honors program at Nicholls.
Bella Breaud
Physical Therapy Technician
Bella was born and raised in Thibodaux and attended E.D. White High School for five years. She was a part of the varsity softball team all five years at EDW, as well as the basketball team for two years. She is currently attending Nicholls with hopes of becoming a Physical Therapist. Bella enjoys being in the outdoors, as well as playing sports in her free time.
Abby Guidry
Physical Therapy Technician
Abby was born and raised in Chackbay, LA. She recently graduated from Thibodaux High School where she was a member of the soccer team and is currently attending Nicholls State University, studying to receive my Bachelors of Science degree in the hopes of becoming a Physical Therapist. Abby enjoys riding horses in her free time.
Reed Gonzales
Physical Therapy Technician
Reed joined the Genesis team in December 2022. He is from Berwick where he graduated from Berwick High School. He played football, baseball, and basketball for Berwick, and he went on to play football for Lyon College in Arkansas. He is now attending Nicholls where he is studying Allied Health with the hopes of becoming a physical therapist.
Jane Robichaux
Physical Therapy Technician
Jane jointed the team as a PT Technician in February of 2023. Jane was born and raised in Labadieville and attended ED White High School for 5 years. She was a part of the varsity tennis team for four years as well as volleyball for two years. She is currently majoring in Allied Health at Nicholls with hopes to become a physical therapist. Jane loves to spend time with family and loves to hunt.
